Do you always have the same old office meetings? You all just sit around a desk and chat. While it may be convenient to have an office meeting in an office, that isn’t the only place to have one. Even if you are restricted to the office there are still ways to make the meeting more interesting. A more thought out and interesting meeting is more likely to rev up your employees and give them the motivation they need to be their best.
So, before your next office meeting take some time to read this three tips and find some way to integrate them, or something similar, into your meeting. Your employees with thank you for it with wide eyes and smiling faces, instead of yawns and bored looks.
Start It On A Good Note
If you want your employees to be enthusiastic during your office meeting then you need to start off enthusiastic. You should be the example of exactly how you want your employees to be. Start off upbeat and give them the good news first.
While everyone knows that not all meetings are filled with good news, your upbeat start to the meeting will make it easier to put a positive spin on even the most negative info. When you do have to share something bad, like how sales are down, always give a solution to how to turn it around and make sure to ask for employee input too.
Make It Interactive
Not only do you want to make sure that your employees speak up in the meetings, all of them, but you also want to give them visuals. Hand out reference sheets. Have a dry erase board that you can jot things down on.
You can also set up something fun, like a game that offers a prize. Maybe you ask each employee to come up with their most crazy idea for selling a certain product and pick the one that is the most over the top as the winner.
Have It in A Unique Location
If you are allowed, why not try having your meeting somewhere different. Why not have a cruise ship meeting? If your office is in New York and you are anywhere near the Statue of Liberty, you could go on a cruise.
This is an especially great idea when you have someone visiting from a corporate office out of the area. As Statue Cruises says, no trip to NYC is complete without a visit to and cruise around the statue.
All of these things will make your office meetings much more interesting and tolerable. It’s likely your employees will enjoy them much more.
